Main Difference Between The iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max And iPHONE XR?

This is a very common question and we’ve looked into the major differences between the models. Of course there is the obvious size, pricing, and camera etc… But if you look at the technical aspect of them, you may be quite surprised they are actually not that different!

Earlier this month, Apple announced three new iPhone models to replace the iPhone X. Dubbed the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, these models have officially replaced the iPhone X, which Apple has officially pulled from its stores after this announcement. So, for those looking to upgrade their phone to a new iPhone X, it appears that you now have three choices instead of one.

Price Comparison
iPhone XR: £749/64GB, £799/128GB, £899/256GB
iPhone XS: £999/64GB, £1,149/256GB, £1,349/512GB
iPhone XS Max: £1,099/64GB, £1,249/256GB, £1,449/512GB

While these three models are based off the tried-and-true iPhone X, they vary widely when it comes to features and price. The iPhone XR starts at £749 with the lowest storage capacity, the iPhone XS will set you back £999, and like last year’s model, the iPhone XS Max will cost £1,099 for 64GB of storage.

Unlike Apple’s previous attempts with more budget-friendly smartphones, all three of these models have the potential to set customers back almost £1,000 apiece, as phone prices are set to jump with optional increases in internal storage, as seen below:

With so many options now available for Apple enthusiasts, it can be difficult to decide which phone to opt for when purchasing your next smartphone upgrade. In an effort to help make things a bit clearer, we’ve compiled a quick summary highlighting each device’s unique specs and features:

Clearly, you can’t go wrong with any of these new and improved Apple smartphones. While a couple hundred dollars can get you an improved screen resolution and size, this appears to be the only major difference between the iPhone XS and XS Max. Furthermore, those looking to upgrade while keeping it more budget-friendly may want to opt for the 64GB option, as Apple’s iCloud service now enables users to keep a majority of their data in the cloud.
At the end of the day, it appears that Apple is continuing along the well worn path of gradual upgrades to their devices. Despite the fact that none of these new iPhones offer features that make them must have devices, they still manage to offer enticing options to die-hard Apple fans and everyday smartphone users alike. Keeping true with their recent form, it appears that the most impressive upgrades made by Apple are on the software side of things, meaning that many current users will have access to the exciting benefits offered by iOS 12.

Conclusion
If you are apprehensive about the pricing go with the iPhone XR. You get all the main features as the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max but at a much lower cost. You also get a choice of more vibrant colors and selection. However, if you have the extra cash to spare, and care about the extra picture/resolution quality (very minor in our opinion) then the XS may be your choice.
We hope this helps you in your decision making when making a significant investment for the new iPhone!
